Solid New Season Start For ‘Wendy Williams’

The Monday episode’s overnight ratings were up 55% from its year-ago time slots and up 21% from its average lead-in rating.

Debmar-Mercury’s Wendy Williams kicked off its sixth season on Monday with an impressive 1.7 household and 6 share, up 55% from its year-ago time slots and up 21% from its average lead-in rating, based on Nielsen overnight ratings.

That follows last season’s 1.4 household rating, which was up 16% year over year.

Yesterday, Wendy ranked No. 1 or No. 2 in its time slots in a slew of markets, including No. 1 on Fox affiliate WNYW New York, where it had a 2.8/11. It tied for No. 1 on Fox’s KTTV Los Angeles with a 1.2/4. Wendy tied for No. 2 in its time slot on Fox’s WFLD Chicago with a 0.8/3 and it tied for No. 1 on Fox’s WTXF Philadelphia with a 2.5/9.

In addition, Wendy finished No. 1 in the key demo of women 25-54 on Monday, soaring 50% in rating and 49% in share from its year-ago debut in women 25-54 to a 1.6 rating/11 share, while scoring its best metered market household rating ever with a 36% leap in rating and 44% in share from a year ago to a 1.8/6.
