Sorboni Banerjee Joins WFXT Boston News

Sorboni Banerjee is joining Fox O&O WFXT Boston (DMA 7) morning news team as an anchor and reporter. She will be featured with Fox25 Morning News co-hosts Gene Lavanchy and Shannon Mulaire; commentator Doug “VB” Goudie; meteorologist Cindy Fitzgibbon; and reporters Elizabeth Hopkins and Brett Connolly. Sorboni’s first day at WFXT will be will Monday, June 11.

Banerjee has been an anchor and reporter in Boston for close to a decade, most recently at WHDH, a position she held since 2006. Before that, she was a morning anchor in her home state of Rhode Island with WLNE Providence.

Banerjee began her career as a reporter, anchor and political correspondent at WHAG Hagerstown, Md. She graduated summa cum laude from Boston University, with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and international relations.
