Sports Journalist Lachlan McLean Joins WLKY

Hearst-owned CBS affiliate WLKY Louisville, Ky. (DMA 49), has added Lachlan McLean as a sports journalist and contributor to WLKY.com. The station says he will tackle a wide array of topics in a weekly column, while delivering a myriad of other articles and podcasts. In particular McLean will report and comment on the Louisville Cardinals and Kentucky Wildcats.

McLean has been in the sports broadcasting industry for 23 years. He started in production at ESPN in Bristol, Conn., and then moved to on- air television jobs in Albany, Ga., and Augusta, Ga., before arriving in Louisville in 1999.

He was a sports anchor/reporter at WHAS for three years before moving to WBKI as community relations director. In 2004 he took over as host of Sports Talk 840 on WHAS-AM and spent 11 years settling arguments between Cards and Cats fans on a nightly basis.
