Stefan Holt Joins WNBC’s 4 P.M. News

NBC-owned WNBC New York today named Stefan Holt co-anchor of its soon-to-be launched 4 p.m. newscast. Holt joins WNBC from WMAQ, NBC’s Chicago O&O, where he currently co-anchors the station’s weekday morning and midday newscasts.

Along with three other NBC-owned stations, WNBC said last month that it will be adding an hour-long 4 p.m. newscast to its lineup in late May. Holt, who will start at the station in mid-April, will also report for the station’s various newscasts in addition to his 4 p.m. anchor role.

Holt has worked at WMAQ Chicago for the last five years. He started as a reporter and weekend morning anchor and was quickly promoted to anchor the station’s weekday morning and midday newscasts.

Before working in Chicago, Holt was an anchor and reporter at WPBF, the ABC affiliate in West Palm Beach, Fla., for three years.

Holt graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast telecommunications and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Pepperdine University.
