He is succeeded at the company’s KOAA Colorado Springs by Ross White who becomes the station’s sales director.
Steve Chase Upped To Cordillera Sales VP
Cordillera Communications has appointed Steve Chase as VP, director of sales. He will be based in St. Paul, Minn., at Cordillera’s headquarters.
Chase is currently director of sales at KOAA, Cordillera’s NBC affiliate in Colorado Springs-Pueblo, Colo. (DMA 89). Previously, he held sales and marketing positions with Comcast Spotlight, Frank N. Magid Associates, Novartis and Mediacom.
Chase is a graduate of the University of Iowa.
In this newly created position, he will oversee all aspects of broadcast sales within the Cordillera group, including negotiations, systems, and talent development.
KOAA named Ross White as its new director of sales. White is a veteran broadcaster who worked his way up over close to a decade at KVII Amarillo, Texas, where held positions as an account executive, creative and promotions director, digital sales manager, local sales manager and director of sales.
He was recruited to WMC Memphis as general sales manager.

He will work with Steve Chase at KOAA during the month of July, before officially taking the reins in August.
