WEEKLY SYNDICATED RATINGS ROUNDUP

Storms Take Out Nielsen’s Syndie Numbers

The one-two punch of Hurricane Sandy and the following nor’easter wipe out ratings for nationally-aired shows in the week ending Nov. 4.

The week ending Nov, 4, which included the first full week of the November sweep, was a turbulent one for syndication thanks to the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy beginning on Sunday, Oct. 29, which was followed later in the week by a nor’easter. Figures are available only for shows not yet nationally rated. They are:

Access Hollywood Live (NBCU), which is being rolled out slowly, scored a 1.1/4 Nielsen Station Index (NSI) multimarket average household rating/share in its 11 metered markets, up 10% from the prior session and up 22% from its November 2011 sweep average. In the key demographic, women 25-54, the entertainment-oriented talk show jumped 17% both week to week and year to year to a 0.7/5.

Let’s Ask America (WBDTD), an interactive game show that bowed in September on the Scripps stations, posted a 1.7/4 NSI multimarket household average in its 7 metered markets. The show held steady in household ratings week to week, but grew 33% in household share over the week before.
