WEEKLY SYNDICATION RATINGS ROUNDUP

Strong Nov. Sweeps For Talkers, ‘Judge Judy’

While Doctor Phil is still the top chat fest, Wendy Williams and Steve Harvey clocked the biggest year-to-year increases with gains of 40% and 38%, respectively. Shows in other genres with nice increases from last year’s November rankings included Extra, Dish Nation, Family Feud, Rules of Engagement and House.

The national results of the November sweep (Oct. 31-Nov. 27) were released today and talk shows were the biggest winners, although courtroom champ Judge Judy was the highest rated show of all, with its strongest November sweep rating ever.

Doctor Phil was easily the top talker, growing 6% from last November. Also moving up sharply from last year were both second-place Ellen and Live with Kelly and Michael. Live ended the sweep on a high note — scoring its largest weekly rating in more than two years in the session ending Dec. 1. And Dr. Oz captured sole possession of fourth place.

Next in line, Maury whose host Maury Povich will turn 75 next month, finished first among women 18-34.
