Susan Schiller Named KRIV VP-News Director

The former CBS journalist takes over news operations at Fox’s Houston O&O, succeeding Bob Morford.

 

Susan Schiller today was appointed vice president and news director of KRIV, the Fox-owned station in Houston (DMA 10). She succeeds Bob Morford who left June 1 to become news director at WAFF Huntsville, Ala.

Effective Sept. 6, Schiller will oversee all aspects of the Fox 26 News operations, reporting directly to KRIV GM D’Artagnan Bebel.

Previously, Schiller was VP-news director of KYW-WPSG Philadelphia. Earlier in her career, she held producer positions at CBS Evening News, CBS This Morning, CBS News Services (Newspath) and KMOV St. Louis and WCAU Philadelphia, where she later returned as assistant news director.

Most recently, Schiller was broadcast media adviser for the World Meeting of Families Organization during the Papal visit in Philadelphia.

A graduate of Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo., Schiller holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and political science.
