Sylvia Perez Joins WFLD As Weekend Anchor
Fox-owned WFLD Chicago (DMA 3) has named Sylvia Perez weekend anchor and reporter.
Effective Monday, Oct. 3, Perez will solo anchor weekend mornings from 7 to 9 a.m. and file special reports for the weeknight 9 p.m. newscast.
Most recently, Perez spent 24 years as midday anchor and evening health beat reporter for WLS Chicago.
Prior to that, she was an anchor/reporter for KPRC Houston, KUSA Denver and KAMR Amarillo, Texas.
Perez began her career at KSWO Lawton, Okla.
A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Perez holds a bachelor’s degree from the School of Journalism.
