Syma Chowdhry Joins KYW’s Eyewitness News

Syma Chowdhry, a freelance reporter with CBS-owned KYW Philadelphia (DMA 4) since March, has joined the station full time as a reporter.

Chowdhry joins the station from the CBS stations in Detroit, WWJ-WKBD, where she had been a morning anchor since 2011.

Previously, Chowdhry was a reporter/anchor for News 12 New Jersey in Edison and a reporter for The University Network in Jersey City. She began her broadcasting career at the News 14 Carolina cable news channel in Raleigh, N.C., as a reporter/producer in 2004.   

Chowdhry is a 2004 graduate of Philadelphia’s Temple University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism.
