Ted Hall Back In Knoxville As WVLT Anchor

Award-winning anchor Ted Hall will join Gray Television’s CBS affiliate WVLT Knoxville, Tenn. (DMA 61), in January.

Hall is well known in the market after spending 18 years in local news and sports at NBC affiliate WBIR. For the past seven years, he’s been anchoring the news at WXIA Atlanta.

During his previous time in Knoxville, Ted was recognized as one of East Tennessee’s most favorite news anchors, winning numerous viewer polls and contests. He’s also an Edward R. Murrow Award winner, recognized for writing, reporting, hosting and co-producing a “Best News Documentary” and was the recipient of several Associated Press and Society of Professional Journalist awards.

Good luck to one of the kindest people in the business. Ted Hall is a gem and Knoxville is lucky to have him back.

Worked with, and competed against, Ted back in the day…glad to see a quality news guy back in Knoxville! Competition in the market will tighten up, Big Time! Congrats, Ted!
