Telemundo Adds Guariglia As Network Sales VP

Telemundo Media today appointed Michael Guariglia VP, network sales. He will be responsible for overseeing the advertising sales function for Telemundo Network for the Northeast territory.

Guariglia will report to Mike Alvarez, SVP, ad sales, Telemundo Network and will be based in New York City.

As the senior leader in the Northeast territory, Guariglia will work with top clients to develop integrated packages and programs. He will serve as the senior point of contact for clients and agencies in his territory, and will be responsible for negotiating top-tier deals. Guariglia will help design strategy and will be responsible for overseeing the regional sales team, as well as evaluating the performance of advertising sales programs.

Guariglia joins Telemundo from Univision Communications Inc., where he served as an account executive. In this role, he secured new advertisers across all categories while growing existing businesses, and supplied marketplace intelligence to the sales staff on an ongoing basis.

Prior to that, Guariglia was VP, client development, Univision Communications, where he was responsible for creating new business, aligning with clients to create unique partnerships, developing and customizing category-specific sales presentations, and consulting with clients to effectively drive their Hispanic strategy.

Before joining Univision, Guariglia was VP, advertising sales at The WB/CW TV Network and account executive at the WB Network. Earlier in his career, Guariglia worked as a director of advertising sales for Studio USA.
