‘The Real’ Makes Syndie Debut On Sept. 15

The announcement follows a four-week test last summer on seven Fox stations. It will also have a cable run on BET.

Warner Bros.’ talk show The Real from Telepictures will debut in broadcast syndication on Monday, Sept. 15 on stations owned by Fox Television, including WNYW New York and KTTV Los Angeles, with double runs on eight MNT stations and a cable run on BET.

The Los Angeles-based The Real, which has been cleared in 98% of TV homes, is a View-style panel talk show co-hosted by Tamar Braxton, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai and Adrienne Bailon.

The Real is being sold for two-year deals on a cash-plus-barter basis (4 national minutes, 11 local minutes).

The show had a four-week test run last summer on Fox stations WNYW, KTTV, WTXF Philadelphia, WTTG Washington, KRIV Houston, KSAZ Phoenix and WTVT Tampa, Fla.

In its test, The Real averaged a 1.1 household rating and 4 share, up 57% from its year-ago time slots and up 22% from its lead-in, based on Nielsen data.

Among women 18-49 and women 25-54, it had a 0.9/6 and a 1.0/7, up 200% and 150% from a year ago, respectively.
