Former Katie and Good Morning America executive producer Rachel Miskowiec is replacing The Real’s creator SallyAnn Salsano as executive producer on that Warner Bros.-distributed Telepictures syndicated talk show.

The panel talk show The Real with co-hosts including Loni Love is finishing its first season with an average 0.8 rating among women 25-54 for the season through June 7, based on Nielsen live-plus-same-day ratings. It’s tied at No. 7 among all talk shows with Sony’s Dr. Oz and NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution’s Jerry Springer and just a tenth of a rating point behind NBCUniversal’s Steve Harvey.

“We are extremely excited to have Rachel at the helm of The Real as we gear up for season two,” said Donna Redier Linsk, executive vice president of business operations and programming at Telepictures, in a statement. “Her impressive track record developing and producing award-winning and iconic daytime talk and news programming make her the perfect choice to lead our team going forward. It’s great to have Rachel back in the Telepictures family, and we look forward to her successfully building upon the momentum The Real has established.”

Miskowiec has previously worked on shows such as Telepictures’ Trya Banks Show, Dr. Drew’s Lifechangers and the 2012 summer test for Bethenny.
