Tim Bennett Named WUPA Station Manager

CBS Television Stations has named Tim Bennett, a longtime TV sales leader, VP and Station Manager of CW affiliate WUPA Atlanta, it was announced Tuesday.

Bennett will also serve as director of sales at the CBS Television Stations’ national spot sales office in the country’s ninth largest market.

Bennett, who has served as sales manager of the station group’s national spot sales office in Atlanta since November 2004, will have an expanded role that includes overseeing the day-to-day operations at WUPA. He will continue to lead the station group’s Atlanta national spot sales office, which serves clients in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky and Florida.
      
 “During his 20-plus years in the Atlanta market, Tim has established great relationships with the advertising community and local business leaders,” said group President Peter Dunn said. “We look forward to having him continue to do a great job of heading up our national sales efforts in Atlanta and also draw on his considerable experience in the market as he takes on the responsibility of leading one of the top CW affiliates in the country.”
