TNN Diginet Adds WPSD Paducah As Affiliate

The Nashville Network diginet has signed an affiliation with NBC affiliate WPSD Paducah (DMA 81). WPSD will begin broadcasting TNN over-the-air on channel 6.2 on Aug. 1.  The Nashville Network will also be available to Paducah cable viewers via Comcast ch. 233 and Poplar Bluff Cable ch. 159.

“Country music is the most popular genre across all gender, age and economic groups,” said David Jernigan, VP of sales and programming for WPSD. “Paducah, Western Kentucky and the entire DMA is obviously an ideal target audience and TNN has the right mix of programming. Couple that with the iconic brand that is TNN and you’ve got an instant draw for a multitude of households and a useful tool for advertisers to reach this ever-growing population,” Jernigan added.

TNN, originally launched as a cable network featuring country music programming, returned as a broadcast television network last November. Programming comprises syndicated and first-run programming along with digitally restored content. The Nashville Network is a partnership between Jim Owens Entertainment and Luken Communications.
