Tegna taps the sales director at its WFAA Dallas to head its CBS affiliate in San Antonio.

Tegna-owned CBS affiliate KENS San Antonio today named Tom Cury president and general manager, overseeing all station operating functions. He succeeds Robert McGann, who is retiring.

Cury comes to KENS after serving as director of sales at Tegna’s WFAA Dallas since 2011.

He worked as a local account executive in Denver, national sales manager in Baltimore and Miami, local sales manager in Los Angeles and group sales manager in New York. He was then named director of sales in Miami before joining WFAA.
