Tony Cipolla Joins KCOY As Morning Anchor

Veteran news anchor Tony Cipolla has joined Cowles Publishing’s CBS affiliate KCOY Santa Barbara, Calif. (DMA 122) as morning anchor from 5 to 7 a.m., Monday through Friday. 

Cipolla has been covering news in the market for the past 20 years, previously on KSBY. In addition to his anchoring duties, Cipolla will also continue his “Time with Tony” pieces that focus on the of the Central Coast region.

His first job was at CNN in Atlanta as a production assistant, writer, editor and producer of live daily newscasts for CNN Headline News. He joined  KFMB San Diego in 1986.

Cipolla graduated from the University of Illinois in 1985 with a degree in broadcast journalism.
