Tribune Names Buterbaugh Indy Sales Chief

Tribune Broadcasting has named Susan Buterbaugh director of sales for its WXIN (Fox)-WTTV (CW) duopoly in Indianapolis (DMA 26).

Buterbaugh joins from WPMT, Tribune Broadcasting’s Fox affiliate in Harrisburg, Pa., where she has been general sales manager since 2010.

Buterbaugh has steadily risen through the sales ranks at WPMT over the past decade. Starting as an account executive in 2003, she was named local sales manager in 2008, and then general sales manager in 2010. Buterbaugh is also a recent graduate from the prestigious National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation (NABEF) Broadcast Leadership Training Program.

Buterbaugh is a sales veteran in the central Pennsylvania media market. Before her tenure at WPMT, she was an online account executive for AOL Time-Warner serving Philadelphia and Harrisburg markets and a cable sales supervisor at Comcast in York. Prior to that, Buterbaugh held account executive positions at WGAL Lancaster, Cable ADCOM in Hershey, and at Lancaster Newspapers Inc. in Lancaster.

Buterbaugh holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communications from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.
