Tribune Names Digital Local Sales VP

Michael Page joins from Gannett Digital Ventures to drive Tribune Broadcasting stations’ digital revenue growth.

Tribune Broadcasting, a division of Tribune Media, today announced the appointment of Michael Page as VP, digital local sales, responsible for driving digital revenue growth at the local station level. Page joins Tribune Broadcasting on June 3 and will report to Angela Betasso, SVP of sales.

Page comes to Tribune Broadcasting from Gannett Digital Ventures, where he was VP, digital auto and a key adviser on the company’s $2.5 billion acquisition of Cars.com. Prior to Gannett, Page was head of global product marketing for Amazon Media Group, where his team launched over 200 new advertising products across seven countries.

Page also held several executive leadership positions at Cars.com, where he oversaw sales channel development, advertising solutions and new business strategy, and played a major role in the company’s rapid growth for more than a decade.

“Tribune Broadcasting’s network of 42 leading local stations provides a strong platform from which to serve our local advertising partners,” said Page.

Page started his career in advertising sales in the Washington, D.C., area and has lived and worked in Chicago, Seattle and Prague.

He graduated with a degree in journalism from Indiana University.
