Two Execs Return To KTVU-KICU

KTVU-KICU, the Cox-owned Fox-indie duo in San Francisco, announced that Lisa Yokota rejoins it as community and public affairs director, while Steve Poitras returns to lead the stations’ marketing teams.

Yokota is a 20 year-veteran of broadcast marketing and community outreach projects. In her new role, she will be leading both station’s community outreach efforts and Cox Media Group’s philanthropic initiatives.

Prior to joining KTVU, she was director of marketing at KTSF San Francisco where she developed and led implementation of public affairs programs and various community service projects. She also worked as promotion manager at Yahoo and previously was sales promotion director at KTVU.

Also returning is Steve Poitras who will lead the stations’ marketing teams. Poitras joined KTVU for the first time as a writer/producer in 1988. He took over as marketing director in 1990 and led promotional efforts until joining KPIX San Francisco in 2003 as director of marketing.

Poitras rose to station manager at KPIX before joining KTLA Los Angeles in 2008. In 2012, he joined KFMB San Diego as director of creative services.
