Two Reporters Joining WTIC Hartford

Tribune Media-owned Fox affiliate WTIC Hartford, Conn. (DMA 30) is adding Margaux Farrell and Carmen Chau as general assignment reporters. Farrell begins her new role on Monday, April 10, Chau on April 24.

Margaux Farrell was previously the morning anchor and producer for KXVA Abilene-KIDY San Angelo, Texas. She also served as a co-host of the Women’s 2016 and 2017 Big Ten Swimming and Diving Championships for the Big Ten Network. Farrell, an All-American swimmer, was a French Olympian and Bronze Medalist in London 2012. She holds an M.A. in broadcast journalism from the University of Southern California and a BA in journalism from Indiana University.

Carmen Chau was previously a general assignment reporter at WTEN-WXXA Albany, N.Y., covering breaking news. She also served as a reporter and weekend morning anchor for WHAG Hagerstown, Md., a reporter for Patch.com in Connecticut and an anchor and reporter for News 22 at Eastern Connecticut State University. She holds an M.S. in broadcast journalism from Quinnipiac University and a B.S. in communication from Eastern Connecticut State University.
