Univision Ups Christine Escobar To Austin GM

Univision Communications has promoted Christine Escobar to vice president, general manager and director of Sales for Univision Austin (DMA 39), effective immediately.

Escobar will manage operations including ad sales, marketing, news, production and promotions of Univision Austin TV and radio stations: KAKW (Univision), KTFO-CD (UniMás), KLQB-FM and KJLA-FM.

Since joining UCI in 2003, Escobar has served in various capacities, most recently as director of sales for Univision Austin where she led sales and marketing and oversaw local and national revenue.

Prior to UCI, Escobar worked at the iHeart Radio cluster in Austin, focusing on sales.

She has more than 16 years of experience in the media industry.
