Under the aegis of the Broadcast Education Association and with a grant from the NAB, two academics, Scott Hodgson of the University of Oklahoma, and Chandra Clark of the University of Alabama, and their student produced an eight-minute video on the deadly tornados that devastated parts of Alabama and Missouri last April and the role TV and radio played in warning residents, covering the impact and bringing emergency relief.
