Joining an industry-wide trend, WABC New York will start its Eyewitness News broadcast a half-hour earlier at 4:30 a.m. The move, beginning Tuesday, Sept. 7, expands the station's morning news to two-and-a-half hours. WABC is also adding a new hour-long Saturday morning newcast at 9 a.m., beginning Saturday, Sept. 4.
