WADL Drops Syndicated News For Reruns
Adell Broadcasting’s WADL Detroit said Wednesday that it will drop its syndicated news program, News@9, and add syndicated programming from CBS including former UPN shows The Parkers, One on One and Girlfriends.
“WADL is moving in a new direction, and the news programming will not be a part of its new format,” says CEO Kevin Adell. “I want to personally thank everyone who helped us test the News@9 segment and also thank CBS Television for providing great programming that serves our market.”

I guess this is a way to say the newscast was a ratings flop without saying it was.
