WAGA Atlanta Names Eric Ludgood Assistant ND

Eric Ludgood on Tuesday was named assistant news director of Fox O&O WAGA Atlanta (DMA 9), assuming the position immediately.

Most recently, Ludgood was news director of WGCL Atlanta. He began at WGCL as an executive producer and then was assistant news director.

Ludgood has also served as director of content for WNCN Raleigh, N.C. Earlier in his career, Ludgood was VP of CNN International, where he also held the titles of supervising producer, producer, copy editor and writer.

Prior to that, Ludgood was the assistant manager of WXIA Atlanta as well as a producer at the station. Previously, Ludgood was managing editor and a producer at WTVM Columbus, Ga. Ludgood began his career as director, cable TV at the City of Downers Grove, Ill.’s first municipally run cable TV channel.

Ludgood holds a Bachelor of Arts in speech communication from Auburn University in Auburn, Ala.
