WARNER BROS. MAKES ‘ABLOW’ A GO, RENEWS ‘TYRA’

Fox stations take both shows, boosting clearances.

Warner Bros. Domestic Television Syndication’s new daily talk show Dr. Keith Ablow has been sold to the Fox Television Stations for a fall launch, making it a “firm go.” It also renewed The Tyra Banks Show for a second season.

Including the Fox sale, the show has been sold in 47 of the top 50 TV markets for a cleanance of more than 90% of the U.S. Produced by Telepictures, the show, hosted by psychiatrist and author Ablow, will originate from New York.

The Fox stations on board are: WNYW/WWOR New York; KTTV/KCOP Los Angeles; WTTG/WDCA Washington; KRIV/KTXH Houston; WJBK Detroit; WTVT Tampa, Fla.; KSAZ/KUTP Phoenix; KMSP/WFTC Minneapolis; WJW Cleveland; WOFL/WRBW Orlando, Fla.; KTVI St. Louis; WUTB Baltimore; WDAF Kansas City; WITI Milwaukee; and KTBC Austin, Texas.

Tyra has been renewed by the Fox stations and others for 60% coverage. According to Jim Paratore, executive vice president of WBDTD and president of Telepictures, Tyra Banks and her show have brought” young women back to broadcast in daytime. It’s the No.1 new show with women 18-49.”
