WBKI Home To Wildcat Football, Basketball Shows

CW affiliate WBKI Louisville, Ky. (DMA 49), today said it is the Louisville television home of the University of Kentucky Sports Network. Programs produced by the UKSN include the weekly Coach Mark Stoops Show during football season and This is Kentucky Basketball during basketball season, as well as the following specials:

• Countdown to Big Blue Madness LIVE – Friday, Oct. 14 (90 minutes)
• Basketball Pre-Season Special – Airdate TBD
• SEC Tournament Special – Airdate TBD
• NCAA Final Four Preview (if necessary) – Saturday, April 1
• NCAA Championship Preview (if necessary) – Monday, April 3
• Welcome Back Cats (if necessary) – Tuesday, April 4

“I am very pleased and excited to have been able to negotiate an exclusive agreement for WBKI-TV to be the official University of Kentucky Sports television station for the Louisville television market,” said WBKI Owner-President Lynn Martin. “This is another step in the growth of local, Kentucky-owned WBKI-TV as it continues its ratings growth and strong upward march to be one of the top TV stations in the entire commonwealth.”

This season’s Mark Stoops Show will air on WBKI on Sundays at noon, and will premiere on Sept. 4. This is Kentucky Basketball is slated to take over the same time slot on Nov. 27.
