WBND Promotes Emily Evans To Morning Anchor
Weigel Broadcasting’s ABC affiliate WBND-LD South Bend, Ind. (DMA 96) has promoted Emily Evans to morning news anchor. She will begin her new role on Jan. 5, 2015.
Evans will be co-anchoring the morning news with Drew Gardner and Greg Bobos on weather.
In addition to her new anchor role, she will continue to report on Notre Dame football.
Evans is from Ohio and graduated from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. There she worked in radio and television at WOUB News and also spent time at WPKO-FM and WBLL-AM in Bellefontaine, Ohio.
