WBRZ Launches New Local Sports Segment

ABC affiliate WBRZ Baton Rouge, La. (DMA 93), is introducing Cauble’s Rising Stars, a weekly sports segment that highlights the athletic youth of the community.

Cauble’s Rising Stars will be featured every Thursday during the 6 p.m. newscast, beginning Oct. 9.

Viewers will be able to submit their child’s sports photo on WBRZ.com beginning Thursday, Oct. 2, and every week one child be selected at random to be featured on News 2 at 6 p.m. with Sports Director Michael Cauble.

Each selected child will also receive a Cauble’s Rising Stars T-shirt, as well as a poster of their picture.

“I hope this segment provides young athletes the encouragement to continue to reach for their goals,” Cauble said.
