WBTW Adds Meteorologist James Hopkins

Media General’s CBS affiliate WBTW Myrtle Beach-Florence, S.C. (DMA 102), has hired James Hopkins as a weekday meteorologist.

He will deliver weather forecasts during the morning and noon weekday newscasts alongside News 13 This Morning anchors Rusty Ray and Libba Holland and News 13 at Noon anchor Nicole Boone.

Hopkins replaces Martha Spencer who accepted a position in New Orleans.

He has more than eight years of experience at various stations, most recently as morning meteorologist at WOWK Charleston, W.Va.

Hopkins received his Bachelor of Science in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University.
