Media General moves the news director of its WRBL Columbus, Ga., to head up on-air and online news operations at its CBS affiliate in Myrtle Beach-Florence, S.C.

WBTW Names Steve Korioth Content Director
Steve Korioth will join Media General’s CBS affiliate WBTW Myrtle Beach-Florence, S.C. (DMA 103), as director of content, effective May 21.
Korioth will oversee all aspects of WBTW news broadcasts and content for the station’s www.scnow.com website.
He succeeds David Hart, who was promoted earlier this year to general manager of Media General’s WRBL Columbus, Ga.
Prior to joining WBTW, Korioth was news director of WRBL since 2010. His news director experience includes six years at KTEN Denison, Texas, from 2003 to 2009. Korioth has been in the field for over 28 years and has held numerous positions across the country in markets that include Tucson, Dallas and Chicago.
