WCAU Lands Philadelphia Eagles Broadcast Rights

On Thursday WCAU, Comcast SportsNet and the Philadelphia Eagles announced a comprehensive new broadcast partnership that makes WCAU “The Official Television Station of the Philadelphia Eagles,” and expands Comcast SportsNet’s coverage of the team with new shows.

Under this new deal, WCU will broadcast all four Eagles preseason games, as well as expanded news coverage, beginning with the NFL Draft and extending throughout the season. The partnership includes live game-day, pre and postgame programming and weekly magazine shows.

Eagles programming on WCAU and Comcast SportsNet includes pre and postgame shows, Eagles Game Plan and Inside the Eagles.

“The Eagles are an institution in Philadelphia and we are proud to be ‘The Official Television Station of the Philadelphia Eagles,’ ” said Valari Staab, president, NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations. “Between new game day programming, weekly team-focused shows and pre-season games, NBC10 will be the home for wall-to-wall Eagles coverage and we couldn’t be more excited about our new partnership.”

Starting with the 2015 NFL Draft, fans can tune into WCAU and Comcast SportsNet for coverage including five draft-specific specials, as well as news coverage and online content at CSNPhilly.com and NBC10.com.

Added Smolenski: “We are looking forward to this partnership and are excited about the new content for fans that will now be on broadcast, cable and digital channels.”
