NBC O&O WCAU Philadelphia (DMA 4) is planning expanded election night coverage across multiple platforms on Tuesday, Nov. 2.

Local cut-ins begin at 8 p.m., to be followed by NBC’s national broadcast of Decision 2010 from 9 to 11 p.m. WCAU will continue local cut-ins during Decision 2010 and will air local results via a news ticker during the network coverage when appropriate.

From 7 to 9 p.m., live coverage can be seen on NBC Philadelphia Nonstop, WCAU’s newly relaunched subchannel. WCAU anchor Lori Wilson will be joined by political reporter Steve Highsmith and the station’s entire news team, covering candidates and results from across the city, state and suburbs.

This broadcast will be streamed live on nbcphiladelphia.com, where results will also be posted as they come in. The election team will be tweeting results, and results will also be posted on the station’s Facebook page at facebook.com/nbcphiladelphia. The 10 p.m. broadcast of WPHL’s News at 10, broadcast from WCAU’s studios, will continue with live coverage, results and reactions from various campaign headquarters.

Coverage continues with an expanded hour-long NBC 10 News at 11, to be immediately followed by expanded network coverage that’s expected to go until the early hours of Nov. 3.
