WCAU To Air ACC Basketball On Subchannel

The deal with Raycom Sports for carriage on NBC Philadelphia Nonstop builds on the station's earlier coverage of ACC football.

NBC Owned Station WCAU Philadelphia announced Tuesday that it has reached a deal with Raycom Sports/The ACC Network to air the 2012 ACC Men’s Basketball season on NBC Philadelphia Nonstop, one of the station’s subchannels (ch. 10.2).

The season starts Saturday, Jan. 7, with Wake Forest taking on Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va. Other confirmed games include the highly anticipated matchup between rivals Duke and North Carolina on Wednesday, Feb. 8, in Chapel Hill. Scheduled broadcasts include the entire ACC Tournament, slated to begin on March 8.

Under the terms of a previously announced deal with Raycom/ACC Sports, NBC Philadelphia Nonstop recently concluded broadcasting the regular season ACC Football season.
