WCIU Adds An Hour To ‘You & Me This Morning’

Weigel Broadcasting’s independent WCIU Chicago (DMA 3) is expanding its weekday You & Me This Morning to include the 8 a.m. hour beginning today.

The additional 60 minutes will give Chicago morning television viewers a total of three hours of local, live entertainment from 6 to 9 a.m. You & Me This Morning is hosted by Melissa Forman and Jeanne Sparrow and executive produced by Rob Morhaim.

“I always say You & Me This Morning is the show that ‘zags’ when everyone else in the market is ‘zigging’,” said Senior Executive Producer Rob Morhaim. “We are the show for people who are tired of waking up to the same news about what terrible thing happened the night before. We’re the show for people searching for a lighter and more fun way to start their day and viewers are responding. I’m delighted that we’re able to add an additional hour of local content with Jeanne and Melissa who are so incredibly talented, relatable and without question, have the best teeth in morning television.”

With this additional hour, WCIU said, “the show plans to increase the staff as needed to maintain the same level of energy and content that viewers have come to expect.”

You & Me This Morning launched in October 2009 and covers topics ranging from local news, weather, entertainment, beauty and fashion, community features and events, home and family, health and fitness, as well as celebrity guests.
