TV veteran David Plummer moves to the Weigel Broadcasting independent station in Chicago to oversee the launch this summer of its new weekday news and lifestyle morning broadcast.

WCIU Hires EP For New Morning Show
Weigel Broadcasting-owned independent WCIU Chicago (DMA 3) today named David Plummer executive producer of the station’s upcoming news and lifestyle weekday morning show, slated for launch in mid-summer.
Plummer comes to WCIU from the Disney/ABC Television Group, where he was part of the launch team of WLS Chicago’s Windy City Live. He served in several key roles throughout his six years with the show, most recently as line producer/associate director.
Plummer is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago and got his start in television as an intern with The Late Show with David Letterman. His career includes a 13-year stretch behind the scenes of the long-running, nationally syndicated show At the Movies, also produced by Disney/ABC, where he rose to be executive producer.
