WCMH Names David Ciliberti News Director

Media General-owned NBC affiliate WCMH Columbus, Ohio (DMA 32), has appointed David Ciliberti as news director, effective Feb. 23.

Ciliberti is currently news director at Media General’s ABC-Fox duo WTEN-WXXA Albany, N.Y.

Prior to joining WTEN-WXXA in 2011 in his current role, Ciliberti was managing editor of digital platforms and assistant news director at WFTS Tampa, Fla. He also worked in New York City, Washington and Houston.

A graduate of Rowan University with a degree in communications, he has attended multiple advanced journalism programs and has led his teams to win numerous Emmy and AP awards, including a 2009 Edward R. Murrow regional award for breaking news coverage.
