WCVB Adds Weekend Anchor Antoinette Antonio

Hearst-owned ABC affiliate WCVB Boston (DMA 7) has hired Antoinette Antonio as co-anchor of its weekend EyeOpener. Antonio joins co-anchor Jim Lokay and meteorologist Danielle Vollmar on weekend mornings starting June 22.

Antonio comes to Boston from KOB Albuquerque, N.eM., where she was weekday morning and noon anchor for the past three years. She joined KOB in 2005 as a general assignment reporter. Antonio began her career in 2003 as a morning anchor and general assignment reporter at KWES Midland-Odessa, Texas.

Antonio is a graduate of University of California, Irvine, with degrees in English and international studies. She is also a member of the Asian American Journalists Association.
