WCVB Boston Promotes Two Anchors
Hearst-owned ABC affiliate WCVB Boston (DMA 9) today promoted anchors Emily Riemer and Antoinette Antonio. Their new anchor assignments are effective Monday, Feb. 27.
Riemer will co-anchor NewsCenter 5 at 4 PM with Ed Harding and NewsCenter 5 at 5 PM with Ben Simmoneau. She will also continue her medical reporting.
Antonio will co-anchor the NewsCenter 5 EyeOpener newscasts (4:30 -7 a.m.) with Randy Price. She will also continue to co-anchor NewsCenter 5 at Noon with Erika Tarantal as well as report her “A+ Profiles” of some of the region’s most remarkable students.

Keep in mind that these new assignments became necessary because 15-year station veteran J.C. Monahan is leaving the station and WCVB is taking her off the 4 and 5pm newscasts until her contract runs out.
