WCVB To Launch ‘Newscenter 5 At 4’ Nov. 9
Hearst-owned ABC affiliate WCVB Boston (DMA 9) will launch a 4 p.m. newscast, NewsCenter 5 at 4, beginning the week of Nov. 7. NewsCenter 5 at 4 will replace Inside Edition, which will move to 4:30 p.m., and will be followed by NewsCenter 5 at 5.
The new NewsCenter 5 at 4 will following Ellen at 3 p.m.
On both Monday, Nov. 7, and Tuesday, Nov. 8, at 4 p.m., WCVB will air a special hour-long NewsCenter 5 featuring expanded election and news coverage. Then, beginning on Wednesday, Nov. 9, the half-hour NewsCenter 5 at 4 will make its debut.
