WDCW Names Gene Lightfoot GSM

Tribune Broadcasting-owned CW affiliate WDCW Washington, D.C., today named Gene Lightfoot general sales manager. Lightfoot will join the station on Dec. 1 and report to Vince Giannini, VP-GM of Tribune’s WPHL Philadelphia who is serving as interim VP-GM of WDCW.

In his role as GSM, Lightfoot will oversee the station’s sales force including local and national sales, new business and internet sales.

Prior to joining Tribune Broadcasting, Lightfoot most recently was national sales manager at KHOU Houston. Prior to KHOU, he was a local sales manager at KMGH-KZCO, Scripps’ Denver duopoly.

Lightfoot has also held sales management roles at WFAA Dallas, as both an account executive and national sales manager.

Lightfoot is a graduate of the Art Institute of Dallas.
