WDJT Hires Mark Hanner As Asst. News Director

Weigel Broadcasting’s CBS affiliate WDJT Milwaukee (DMA 35) has added Mark Hanner as assistant news director.

Hanner comes to WDJT with more than 30 years of television newsroom experience. He spent six years as a producer for CBS’s The Early Show from 2002 to 2008, and most recently was assistant news director of WJLA Washington’s NewsChannel 8.

Hanner began his career as a photographer/editor at KEYT Santa Barbara, Calif., and then went on to be a producer for CNN International.

Hanner subsequently held senior producer positions at WSPA Greenville-Spartanburg, S.C., and KNTV San Francisco; served as executive producer at KLAS Las Vegas; and as news director at KYMA Yuma, Ariz.
