WDRB 11 P.M. Newscast to Debut Monday

Beginning next Monday, Jan. 11, Block Communications-owned Fox affiliate WDRB Louisville, Ky. (DMA 49), will add another half-hour of weeknight news to its Monday through Friday schedule with the debut of WDRB News at 11PM. This addition will increase the station’s local news product to nine-and-a-half hours each weekday — and 56 ½ hours per week.

David Scott, who also co-anchors WDRB’s 10 p.m. newscast, will be teamed with Adrianne Flores at 11. Before joining the WDRB news team in November, Flores was a reporter/anchor at WSMV Nashville.

“Since adding a 6 p.m. newscast to our weeknight lineup a little over a year ago, we’ve felt the next natural area for expansion would be the 11 p.m. time slot,” said WDRB VP-News Director Barry Fulmer. “At 11, we’ll finally be going head-to-head against all our late news competitors, and this will be a good opportunity for viewers who have been watching other entertainment options at 10 to see what they’ve been missing.”

WDRB began its local news coverage in March 1990 with the premiere of its News at 10. The last time WDRB introduced a new local newscast that directly competed with all other local news stations in the same time slot was September 2014, when it premiered WDRB News at 6PM.
