Weigel Names Dickens WBND News Director
Weigel Broadcasting today promoted Kelley Dickens to news director of ABC affiliate WBND South Bend, Ind. (DMA 96). Dickens has been assistant news director at WBND and co-owned CW affiliate WCWW since 2014, overseeing the planning and day-to-day news coverage for all broadcasts. Effective immediately, she will transition to her new role as news director.
Dickens spent 18 months as WBND’s late news producer in 2011 and 2012. Following that, she spent two years as the late news producer at WTKR Norfolk, Va., before returning to WBND as assistant news director.
Dickens has also held positions including associate producer for WXYZ Detroit, as well as producer and reporter for WJRT Flint, Mich.
