WFLD Adds Bill Bellis As Chief Meteorologist
Bill Bellis has joined Fox O&O WFLD Chicago (DMA 3) as chief meteorologist. Bellis will provide weather reports for the station’s weekday newscast, Fox Chicago News at 9 p.m. He is scheduled to make his first on-air appearance Wednesday, Feb. 23.
Bellis comes to WFLD from KNXV Phoenix, where he was chief meteorologist for eight years. Previously, he was weekend meteorologist at KPRC Houston for four years.
Earlier in his career, Bellis was a meteorologist for KLFY Lafayette, La. A three-time Emmy award winner, Bellis holds a Bachelor of Science in atmospheric science from The University of Arizona.
