WFLD Names Christopher Myers Assistant ND

Christopher Myers today was named assistant news director of Fox O&O WFLD Chicago (DMA 3). He assumes this position on Monday, Jan. 23.

Myers will be returning to Chicago, where he worked for seven years in local news, most recently as executive producer at WMAQ and before that, as news producer at WLS.

Other local news experience includes his position as assistant news director at KNBC Los Angeles, news producer at WRTV Indianapolis and news producer at WHBQ Memphis.

Most recently, Myers has been a senior consultant at RumorFix.com. Before that, he was VP and creator of CelebTV.com, an entertainment digital news network.

He also was a news producer for CBS’s Entertainment Tonight and The Insider. Myers began his career as news producer and anchor at WPSD Paducah, Ky.

Myers holds a Bachelor of Arts in radio/television with a minor in political science from Southern Illinois University.
