WFSB Hartford To Host Senate Debate

Meredith-owned CBS affiliate WFSB Hartford-New Haven, Conn. (DMA 30), will host the first Senate debate between Linda McMahon and Chris Murphy at the WFSB studios. The candidates have been invited to debate the issues on Sunday, Oct, 7, at 11 a.m. Both of the candidates have accepted the invitation.

Dennis House, WFSB’s Eyewitness News anchor and Face the State host, will serve as moderator. Viewers can submit questions for the candidates by going to WFSB.com or WFSB’s Facebook page.

A panel of journalists — Angela Dias from WTIC-AM Hartford, Mark Pazniokas from The Connecticut Mirror and Fran Schneidau from WCBS-AM New York — will question the candidates.

The debate will also stream live at WFSB.com and be simulcast on WTIC-AM, WLIS-AM Old Saybrook, Conn., and WMRD-AM Middletown, Conn.
