WFTC Debuts Locally Produced ‘On The Fly’

Fox-owned MNT affiliate WFTC Minneapolis (DMA 15) introduced On the Fly, a one-hour entertainment program featuring Twin Cities radio personality Tony Fly, WFTC traffic reporter Kelsey Soby and former K-Twin producer Dan Edwards. The program is airing weekdays at 11 p.m. and again at 8 a.m. the following morning.

Produced by WFTC, On the Fly is a daily program highlighting “what’s hot and happening that day in pop culture, from Hollywood to the Twin Cities,” according to the station. Each day, Fly, Soby and Edwards will interview local celebrities and guests and engage with viewers on Twitter, Facebook and Skype about the day’s hot topics. In addition, viewers will be encouraged to interact with the hosts and will regularly be featured on the program.

Two On the Fly programs from the week will air Sunday nights from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m.

In making the announcement, WFTC VP-GM Carol Rueppel said: “On the Fly showcases the humor and spontaneity of a radio talk show with the visual impact of television. The ensemble of Tony, Kelsey and Dan will provide unique commentary on the big talkers of the day.”
